Job Description

Job Purpose:The Proposal Specialist will provide proposal and quotation support for multiple mission-critical products. This includes the writing, coordination and preparation of proposal documentation and the development of quotations as required for new and existing products.Duties / Deliverables:
Your duties and responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Develop system configurations and quotations in accordance with company best practices and guidelines.
• Interpret specifications and requirements for mission-critical systems and provide compliance feedback to the sales account manager.
• Provide direct support to sales account managers, resellers and end-customers, including technical support to assist in designing, selling, presenting and coordinating projects/systems.
• Support margin analysis on quotations and proposals.
• Develop responses to customer requests for proposals (RFPs) and requests for information (RFIs) to properly position products and services and produce a winning proposal.
• Develop and maintain proposal response schedule in collaboration with resellers and internal customers.
• Format and print proposal documentation, package and ship to meet applicable deadlines.
• Be knowledgeable regarding major competitors and their prime products.
• Assist in training programs for new personnel as required.
• Comfortable with working on multiple concurrent projects within tight deadlines.
• Flexible work schedule (some occasional overtime may be required).

Skills/Qualifications:

• Diploma or Degree in English, Communications, Engineering or Marketing or equivalent experience.
• Strong interest in IP networks, IP telephony and associated applications.
• Strong financial skills and/or experience working with numbers and spreadsheets.
• Strong desktop publishing skills.
• Strong communication and writing skills in English (French is an asset).
• Experience with Visio and PowerPoint is an asset.
• Experience with an ERP is an asset (e.g., Syteline, Oracle, etc.).
• Experience with a CRM is an asset (e.g., Salesforce, etc.).

Bilingualism (French and English) would be definitive asset
