for Distribution Transformers is responsible for promoting and selling distribution transformer products to customers. This role involves understanding customer needs, analyzing and interpreting customer technical specifications, preparing technical and commercial proposal documents, order processing, providing technical expertise, and ensuring customer satisfaction through effective communication and support. The
Proposal Manager
will work closely with the sales, engineering, and production teams to achieve sales targets and expand market presence.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Work closely with Sales team to generate and prepare technical and commercial distribution transformer proposals.
Promote and sell distribution transformer products to existing and potential customers.
Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the target market.
Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to understand their needs and provide appropriate solutions.
Provide technical expertise and support to customers, addressing inquiries and resolving issues.
Collaborate with the sales team to develop and execute sales strategies.
Prepare and deliver sales presentations and proposals tailored to customer requirements.
Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to inform sales strategies.
Negotiate contracts and agreements to secure sales and ensure customer satisfaction.
Conduct regular follow-ups with customers to ensure satisfaction and identify opportunities for upselling.
Participate in industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events to promote the company's products and services.
Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and pipeline status using CRM software.
Provide feedback to the product development team on customer needs and market demands.
Prepare regular sales reports and forecasts for management.
Other responsibilities as assigned.
Qualification, Skills and Experiences
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, engineering technology, Business, or a related field.
Proven experience in technical sales, preferably in the electrical distribution or transformer industry.
Strong understanding of transformer technology and electrical distribution systems.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical customers.
Demonstrated ability to achieve and exceed sales targets.
Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Willingness to travel as required.
Experience with international sales and export regulations an asset.
Professional certifications related to electrical engineering or sales an asset.
