The Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented, versatile and proactive Proposal & Digital Learning Writer/Researcher to join our team in a diverse, team-oriented and fast-paced role encompassing both technical and creative tasks. This individual will contribute to the work of the Business Development team as part of Sandbox's Professional Development Bootcamp, under the leadership of the HR and Procurement Manager, and to the work of the Digital Learning and Products (DLP) team, under the leadership of the DLP Lead.
About Sandbox's Professional Development Bootcamp
Sandbox's Professional Development Bootcamp offers new Writer/Researchers an opportunity to gain a broad and deep understanding of Sandbox's projects, storytelling approach, and client landscape, working in close collaboration with other Writer/Researchers and the Business Development team. This experience creates a strong foundation for their contributions to specialized departments, such as the Digital Learning and Products team.
Your Responsibilities
In the Bootcamp, you will:
Conduct research to identify and assess new project opportunities, ensuring strong strategic fit with Sandbox's and new client's needs.
Develop compelling, technically sound proposals and applications for diverse funding and project opportunities.
Organize and structure content to meet submission requirements, ensure clarity, and align with Sandbox's brand voice.
Coordinate with other members of the Business Development team, other Sandbox departments, and external experts as needed, to ensure alignment and accuracy of proposal content.
In the Digital Learning and Products team, you will:
Collaborate on e-learning modules and courses, including the creation of instructional design storyboards and assembling content with digital learning tools, liaising with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), and contributing to the development of innovative digital learning strategies.
Develop accessible, engaging and learner-centred copy for learning resources including websites, platforms, brochures, toolkits, presentations, and more.
Contribute to learner-centred technical writing for educational materials, such as curricula, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and alignment with instructional goals.
What You Bring to the Table:
Background:
1 to 5 years of experience in writing and research.
Interest in digital learning and education.
University degree, college diploma, or certification in a field emphasizing research and writing, education, teaching & learning, social sciences, media and communications or other relevant field.

Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) (e.g., Moodle, Canvas, Blackboard) or e-learning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate).
Familiarity with creative media and technology workflows.
Experience writing for video, animation, marketing materials, or digital storytelling.
Experience with technical writing, such as research reports or user guides.
Proficiency with qualitative and quantitative research methods and software (e.g. Dovetail, Excel, Qualtrics, etc).
Proficiency with data visualization software (Google Looker Studio, Tableau, etc).
Multilingual capabilities (ideally French and Spanish).
