Title and Deed is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Property Paralegal to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, excellent written and verbal communication abilities, and a solid understanding of legal processes. This role is essential in supporting lawyers with various tasks, ensuring that all legal documents are prepared accurately and efficiently.
Responsibilities
Managing real estate transactions from client intake to closing, including document preparation, contract drafting, and coordination with clients
Preparing, drafting, and reviewing all legal documents and correspondence
Organizing and maintaining accurate records for filing
Researching records, court files and other legal documents
Supporting and contacting clients to schedule appointments, communicate file progress, and to obtain or exchange information
Requirements
Post-secondary Paralegal degree or diploma, or equivalent role-related education and experience
Previous experience as a Paralegal, specifically handling real estate transactions
Well-versed in NS Property Online and the Land Registration Act
Proficiency and aptitude for working with Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe, and Case Management software
Excellent attention to detail and proofreading skills
Proven ability to work independently, take initiative and exercise sound judgement
Strong written and verbal communication, organizational and problem-solving skills
Ability to be flexible, and adapt easily to change
Fluency in multiple languages is an asset
