About OnePeopleTO/OnePeople Philanthropy:



OnePeopleTO is a Black-led, women-led, Queer-positive cultural care, consulting, and advocacy wellness sanctuary located in downtown Toronto. We provide a safe and empowering space for marginalized communities, particularly Black, Indigenous, and People of Colour (BIPOC) individuals, to heal, connect, and thrive. OnePeople Philanthropy is the non-profit branch of OnePeopleTO, focused on community outreach and advocacy initiatives.

Position Summary:



We are seeking a highly motivated Property Manager (PM) to join our team on a part-time contract (approx. 10 hours per month to start). The PM will be responsible for on-site presence for open houses or tours, plus supporting practitioner, community or external rentals as aligned with the organization's mission and values. This role will also be crucial in supporting the Events and Accessibility Coordinator with space planning and/or use.

Responsibilities:



Property Management



Scheduling one-on-one renter tours Managing monthly open houses (2hr) Managing the property on rental listing sites Sharing/updating sanctuary photos or information

Documentation + Administration



Ensuring in-house practitioner insurance coverage and scope Manage co-working schedule and/or practitioner bookings Managing rental payments and reminder communications Documenting maintenance requests or complaints

Property Maintenance + Plant Care



Sourcing viable contractors to perform trade-level maintenance Coordinating preventative maintenance or emergency repairs Plant Care: watering, fertilizing, caring for & trimming plants Ensuring internal and external spaces are suitable

Qualifications:



Degree or certification in Real Estate, Law and/or Property Management. Min 2 years of experience, preferably in a non-profit or grassroots organization. Passion for the mission and values of OnePeopleTO/OnePeople Philanthropy. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills. Experience dealing with community members and the public. Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Bonus Points:



Lived experience as or working with Black, LGBTQIA or other equity-seeking groups. Knowledge of cultural competency and trauma-informed care. Cultural and community wellness advocacy and/or experience.

Proposed Wage:

$25/hour paid monthly.

Length of Contract:

Three-month probationary period followed by 1-year contract.
