Opportunity



Ashworth Square Co-operative is seeking a full-time, permanent Property Manager to oversee the management and operations of our 152-unit housing co-operative in Mississauga, Ontario.

Reporting to the Co-operative's elected Board of Directors, the Property Manager will provide leadership in maintaining efficient operations, supporting democratic governance, and fostering a vibrant, inclusive co-operative community.

Key Responsibilities



Apply and promote Co-operative Housing principles within the community Oversee day-to-day operations, financial management, and maintenance Supervise maintenance contractors, ensuring quality workmanship and member satisfaction Support and develop office and maintenance staff, fostering teamwork and accountability Work collaboratively with the Board of Directors and committees to ensure effective governance and member engagement Manage budgets, prepare reports, and ensure compliance with financial, legal, and safety regulations Foster a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment for members and staff Utilize property management software (NewViews), Microsoft Office, and Google Workspace effectively Network with stakeholders such as the Region of Peel, Co-operative Housing Federation of Canada (CHF Canada), and other housing co-operatives

Qualifications and Key Competencies



Proven experience in non-profit or co-operative housing management Strong financial literacy and understanding of non-profit funding models Experience in staff supervision, recruitment, and performance management Knowledge of Rent-Geared-to-Income (RGI) programs and co-op by-laws is an asset Understanding of relevant legislation and codes (Fire, Building, OHSA) Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills Strong conflict resolution and community-building abilities Tech-savvy and able to learn new systems quickly Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced office environment

Salary and Benefits



Salary range: $95,000 - $105,000 (commensurate with experience)*
Extended healthcare and dental benefits Two (2) weeks paid vacation annually
