:We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Property Accountant in Vancouver, British Columbia. This role is within the real estate industry, and you will be stationed in our office initially for training purposes before the option to transition to remote work. The primary function of this job is to assist our lease administration team to meet a tight deadline, particularly in handling a commercial lease project.Responsibilities

• Abstracting financial terms from commercial leases, ensuring all information is accurate and comprehensive.
• Conducting manual calculations in Excel to validate financial aspects of leases.
• Reviewing lease agreements meticulously, extracting key details and noting important dates.
• Utilizing Yardi software to manage property accounting tasks.
• Assisting in preparing financial statements, dependent on your skillset and familiarity with IFRS accounting.
• Collaborating with the lease administration team, and other relevant departments, on a daily basis.
• Maintaining a strong attention to detail throughout all tasks to ensure the accuracy and reliability of financial data.
• Communicating effectively with the team and other stakeholders to ensure alignment and understanding of lease terms and conditions.

• Proficiency in Yardi and Yardi Enterprise software is mandatory
• Demonstrable experience in Lease Accounting is required
• Must have proficiency in Lease Administration
• In-depth knowledge of Lease Agreements is necessary
• Expertise in Property Accounting is crucial
