Position: Property Accountant, Commercial Real Estate
Location: TorontoQuantum is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Property Accountant specializing in Commercial Real Estate to join our client\'s growing team!Key Responsibilities:- Prepare comprehensive financial statements and reports for assigned portfolio companies.
- Execute month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing procedures.
- Generate financial statements for tax filings in both the US and Canada.
- Compile reports for the annual audit.
- Ensure the integrity and accuracy of property records.
- File HST returns timely and accurately.
- Develop monthly cash forecasts for the portfolio and request necessary funding.
- Coordinate authorization for funding requests and construction draws.
- Manage wire payments related to properties.
- Open bank accounts for newly foreclosed properties.
- Reconcile monthly bank statements for the properties.
- Provide innovative solutions to various accounting and operational challenges.
- Support the finance team by backing up other team members as needed.
- Undertake ad hoc projects and assignments.Qualifications:- At least three years of relevant accounting experience.
- Post-secondary education in accounting or a related field.
- CPA designation preferred.
- Prior experience in commercial real estate accounting is required.
- Eagerness to continuously learn about commercial real estate and financial operations.
