About the Opportunity
Our client in the Ottawa west area that specializes in Property Management is seeking a Property Accountant to join their fast-paced, growing organization on a permanent, full-time basis. This organization is proudly family-owned and puts a focus on long-term career growth.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Full-cycle Accounts Payables and Accounts Receivables
- Following up on overdue tenant accounts
- Processing payments, applying payments to overdue accounts, updating reports as needed
- Processing and recording of expenses
- Preparing bank deposits
- Track and manage pre-authorized payments
- Reconciling bank and credit card accounts
- Posting of journal entries, working closely with the General Ledger
- Providing reporting as needed
- Assisting with Month End close
- Provide administrative support as required
- Answer tenant inquiries in a professional and timely manner
The successful candidate will have the following:
- Completion of a post-secondary degree or diploma in Business Administration or a related stream
- 2+ years of experience in full-cycle Accounting
- Exposure to Real Estate or Property Management industry is a strong asset
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Highly organized, strong attention to detail
- Strong communication skills (English mandatory)
- Excellent interpersonal skills, self-starter, collaborative
