Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Project Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will support project activities including equipment installation, maintenance, commissioning, and troubleshooting. This role requires a strong mechanical and electrical aptitude, practical understanding of PLC systems, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in the installation, assembly, and commissioning of mechanical and electrical systems and equipment. Perform troubleshooting and repair of electrical and mechanical components, ensuring minimal downtime. Support Managers in the execution of technical tasks Interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and schematics. Conduct testing and calibration of equipment to ensure compliance with project specifications and safety standards. Maintain accurate project documentation, reports, and service records. Ensure all work complies with applicable safety standards, codes, and company procedures.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar technical or project-based role (industrial, manufacturing, automation, or related field). Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude with hands-on troubleshooting experience. Working knowledge and understanding of PLC systems (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or equivalent). Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings. Experience using hand tools and power tools (having your own tools is an asset). Post-secondary education in Electrical Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Industrial Maintenance, or equivalent experience. Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills. Valid Ontario driver's license and willingness to travel to job sites as required.

Pay: $30.00-$35.00 per hour
