Position Summary:

The Operational Learning and Performance (OLP) team provides innovative and digital learning, quality, and knowledge management solutions to the Canadian Operations business lines. Our solutions are aligned to the overall strategy and vision for Canadian Operations and enable our business partners to provide client centric service excellence.

As part of Operational Learning & Performance (OLP) at Sun Life Financial, you will be joining an energetic and collaborative team who delivers world class Learning, Quality, Knowledge Management and Curriculum Design programs to Canadian Operations.

As part of Operational Learning & Performance, Business and OLP Capability Centre this role is essential in the success of training delivery for Canadian operations from OLP facilitators, quality assessment completion for QDAs, curriculum development for designers. Site configuration, access, equipment, reporting, licenses for software are all critical to being able to deliver a solid product for operations. This role requires the work to be prioritized based on client outcomes and expectations, not a FIFO approach.

Responsibilities:

Project Management

Partner with the Corporate Real Estate team to determine and plan for OLP\xe2\x80\x99s training needs across Canada for OLP in all locations (Training Rooms, Equipment)

Accountable to project sponsors (Managers, Directors, AVP) for project results and progress

Effective management of projects to deliver on time, on budget and according to client quality expectations

Plan, approve and execute various initiatives focused on training facilities in all locations including room set up, equipment, access, maintenance without impacts to existing training schedules

Independently execute the yearly review of training room equipment within timelines, resolving discrepancies with leaders and corporate team

Manage the BCP and BIA plan for OLP by leading the yearly review with the leadership team and Business Continuity team

Partner with the data analyst and scheduling functions for OLP by reporting and resource assignment

Partner with the data analyst and resource planning with reporting and scheduling events as required

Tool Management

Consult & execute on the structure of TKQ database, skills matrix

Drive the contract renewal notification process for expiring agreements

Manage the renew program (annual) OLP tool licenses on time to avoid disruption of delivery of services

Changepoint management for OLP consisting of creating and maintaining project codes, correcting submitted entries, maintenance of employee status

Product Owner Support

Work independently on a range of complex tasks, which may include unique situations.

Manage project issues and risks effectively through planning, control and execution project phases

Develop Pre-launch communications, broadcast messaging for new launches, (scope?)

Define and execute reporting customization within Axonify to meet business needs

Responsible for the managing Manage and executing the campaign roll outs for Axonify

Develop and execute rewards management within Axonify

Develop, launch and report User surveys for leadership

Access:

Determine appropriate OLP and business access requirements for each OLP role.

Execute and maintains user access provisioning and de-provisioning activities

Provide first level support for OLP user access related issues

Manage and troubleshoot access for OLP within tight timelines to avoid impacts to scheduling,

Maintain role profiles for each OLP role and which access is required to complete the work as OLP roles evolve

Complete regular reviews of who has access to OLP tools and remove those that are no longer required to comply with privacy guidelines

Qualifications and Experience:

College diploma/degree with 3 + years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Strong knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Access, Word, PPT)

Demonstrated ability to exercise independent judgment or initiative and function with minimal supervision

Ability to work under pressure, prioritize workload and adapt to changing circumstances

Ability to prioritize and effectively manage time, while ensuring that all work must adhere to the highest quality standards

Ability to make an impact through influencing skills and ability to build strong relationships at all levels of the organization

Ability to succeed in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, and quickly find alternative solutions to business challenges.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Comfortable learning new applications quickly with minimal direction

As this position is posted in several locations, we specify that bilingualism (French, English, both oral and written) is required for Quebec only for the frequent interactions with English and French-speaking colleagues or internal partners across Canada or worldwide.

The Base Pay range is for the primary location for which the job is posted. It may vary depending on the work location of the successful candidate or other factors. In addition to Base Pay, eligible Sun Life employees participate in various incentive plans, payment under which is discretionary and subject to individual and company performance. Certain sales focused roles have sales incentive plans based on individual or group sales results.
