Position Overview:
The Project/Sales Engineer, reporting to the Director of Sales, serves as a liaison between customers and internal teams, facilitating communication to ensure alignment of manufacturing operations with customer expectations. Collaborating closely with Sales, Quality, Manufacturing, and Production to develop tailored solutions while performing and documenting processes and quality standards to enhance customer satisfaction and efficiency.
Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
Support all phases of the manufacturing process for product being built, including: product quality, cost improvements, on-time delivery, and product manufacturability.
Analyze and develop manufacturing process flows continually for the enhancement of quality, cost reduction, and throughput to support ISO regulations.
Identify improvement opportunities (reduce cost, eliminate wastes, improve cycle time and capacity, improve production flow, reduce raw material consumption, etc.)
Project management of improvement projects (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost and Inventory)
Project management of transition projects (in sourcing, outsourcing, repositioning)
Provide documentation support (manage change documentation system, work instructions, process flow charts) as required by manufacturing.
Contributes to the development of work instructions, equipment logs, material specifications and other tracking documents.
Collaborating with configuration control and design engineering regarding product tooling and design to ensure effective production methods.
Working closely with manufacturing department to develop, coordinate and implement technical training for employees.
Maintain a thorough understanding of products and services to communicate to customers.
Conferring with vendors in determining product specifications and arranging equipment, parts, or material purchases, and evaluating products according to quality standards and specifications.
Acts as liaison between Customers and Sales, Quality, Manufacturing, and/or Production.
Ensuring Production timelines, quality and engineering specifications are being met through customer communication.
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify customer needs and develop tailored solutions that meet project requirements.
Preparing and delivering technical proposals and quotations to customers, ensuring clarity and accuracy.
Monitoring project progress and addressing issues to maintain customer satisfaction and project timelines.
Providing technical support and guidance to customers throughout the sales process and after product delivery.
Travel to customer sites as needed to conduct on-site assessments, gather requirements, and provide tailored solutions.
Attend customer meetings and industry conferences, representing and promoting the company.
Gather and relay customer feedback to improve service, delivery and enhance customer satisfaction.
Handle customer questions, complaints, and conflicts with professionalism.
Administration

Qualifications:
Must meet the requirements of the Canadian Controlled Goods Security Assessment Application as per Section 15 of the Controlled Goods Regulations, SOR/2001-32.
Diploma in Manufacturing Engineering Technology or equivalent/ bachelor's degree in engineering preferred
2+ years experience in working in the manufacturing or manufacturing technology field.
Excellent organization, and computer skills.
Strong skills in manufacturing and processing engineering with knowledge of machining, welding and fabrication.
Computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite.
Familiar with quality clauses.
Experience in customer relations within a manufacturing environment.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to actively listen and effectively address customer needs and requirements.
Experience with Customer Relationship Management tools to track customer interactions, feedback, and sales opportunities.
Able to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
Familiarity with ADJ's production processes and limitations is preferred. On-the-job training will be provided.
Open to both domestic and international travel as required.
