PROJECT & SAFETY COORDINATOR FIT INDUSTRIAL INC. \xe2\x80\x93 WHO WE ARE FIT Industrial is one of the Atlantic provinces leaders in marine engineering and industrial services. We specialize in the design, fabrication, and installation of customized marine and seafood processing equipment. FIT has provided engineering and industrial services to ships, fishing vessels, seafood processing plants and offshore platforms for over 20 years. Our mastery of the challenges of maritime engineering is well-recognized throughout the Atlantic Provinces. RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist in the planning and execution of projects, ensuring that all project deliverables are completed on time and within budget
  • Coordinate project activities, manage project timelines and monitor project progress
  • Support project communication efforts, including creating and maintaining project documentation, organizing meetings, and facilitating discussions
  • Assist in the development and management of project budgets and resource allocation
  • Track project expenses and prepare reports
  • Manage project risks and issues, ensuring that they are identified and addressed in a timely manner
  • Provide administrative support to the project manager and team, including scheduling, filing, and other duties as required
\xc2\xb7 Provide safety support and information to employees \xc2\xb7 Identify safety training needs and coordinate safety training programs \xc2\xb7 Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure that safety is a top priority throughout the project lifecycle \xc2\xb7 Participate in safety meetings and provide safety-related updates to project stakeholders \xc2\xb7 Stay current on safety regulations, standards, and best practices, and make recommendations for improvements to safety programs and practices. QUALIFICATIONS: \xc2\xb7 A degree or diploma in a related field (such as business administration, project management) or relevant experience \xc2\xb7 2+ years of experience in project coordination, safety management or related role \xc2\xb7 Strong organizational and time management skills \xc2\xb7 Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal \xc2\xb7 Proficient in Microsoft Office \xc2\xb7 Ability to work independently and as part of a team \xc2\xb7 Attention to detail and accuracy \xc2\xb7 Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with project stakeholders at all levels \xc2\xb7 Ability to identify potential safety hazards and develop effective strategies to mitigate risks \xc2\xb7 Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Salary: $50,000.00-$70,000.00 per year Benefits:
