My client, a reputable Canadian company is looking for a Project Engineer / Coordinator to join their team of professionals in Delta, BC. This individual will not only be responsible for preliminary technical and design support to internal partners, but also coordination of site activities, whilst ensuring adherence to all safety and quality assurance requirements.

What the Project Engineer / Coordinator does:
  • Prepares written technical reports & presentations for clients
  • Prepares rigging & heavy lift execution drawings and calculations
  • Prepares transport calculations, drawings and route studies
  • Performs feasibility studies and technical checks
  • Supports sales and tendering department with preparation of bid documents
  • Provides technical assistance and maintains effective communication with project managers, site supervisors, field staff and clients to ensure project deadlines and milestones are met
  • Prepares basic design calculations & fabrication drawings for review
What the successful candidate will bring:
  • Mechanical or Civil Engineering Degree
  • Registration with EGBC (EIT or PEng)
  • 2+ years' engineering or coordination experience within a construction environment
  • Proficiency with AutoCad
  • Experience with the local construction industry
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Driven and motivated to progress in their career
