Position Summary:



The Project Planning and Control Officer plays a key role in supporting the execution of the Program Management Office (PMO) by championing its mission and promoting the use of standardized tools, templates, and processes. This role will lead the development and implementation of project management best practices across De Havilland Aircraft of Canada's programs and initiatives to ensure consistency, efficiency, and alignment with organizational goals.



Key Responsibilities:



Develop detailed project plans by collaborating with cross-functional teams, defining objectives, deliverables, and realistic timelines based on scope analysis and historical data Create and manage schedules using tools like Gantt charts and critical path analyses, optimizing task sequencing and resource allocation to meet milestones Monitor project progress, proactively identify issues, and adjust plans to resolve bottlenecks and keep timelines on track Conduct risk assessments, maintain a risk register, and lead stakeholder workshops to establish mitigation and contingency strategies Define KPIs and analyze performance data to generate reports with actionable insights and highlight areas for improvement Maintain clear, consistent communication with teams, stakeholders, and leadership, providing timely updates and managing expectations Serve as the primary point of contact for all project-related inquiries and coordination Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, enhance project management tools and processes, and share lessons learned Ensure comprehensive documentation is maintained throughout the project lifecycle for tracking, audits, and knowledge sharing

Qualifications:



Bachelor's degree in engineering, Project Management, or related field 3-5 years of related experience Experience in aerospace project management is an asset Proficient in MS Project, Primavera, Excel, PowerPoint, and risk management tools Familiarity with aerospace industry standards and manufacturing processes Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills PMP certification or equivalent is preferred
