Job purpose
Working with the Project Manager and Tender managers, the position is responsible for the planning of the windfarm projects. The position shall coordinate and engage with the Project Manager, Tender managers, global procurement, and logistics in order to define sequence of activities, breaking down small work into micro activities and defining resources & duration
This position is pivotal to the creation of multiple windfarm projects and ensure compliance to the plan is followed, rescheduling the programme and scenario planning where required.
Key accountabilities
Understanding the full scope of the project from tender to delivery of a project
Ensure that the activities of the schedule to be executed occur within the deadline provided
Provide cost estimations and control cost of resources and planned hours
Request and monitor subcontractor schedule for their scope of works and review for appropriateness.
Detection of the critical path and clearances, problems and defects in time to look for alternatives (activities, materials, personnel). Short-mid-long term.
Identify, analyze and profile risks that may impact project timelines and cost.
Prepare/ Suggest various "what if" schedule scenarios to Construction Manager.
Monitor daily activities and future plans, maintaining daily construction progress curves
Daily coordination of work programs with the functions and warehouse
Updates of schedule in MS Project and Primavera
Updates of progress (daily-weekly-monthly) via timetables and tracking tools
Creating and maintaining project programme from manufacturing through to commissioning. Prepare & maintain project sub-schedules for different stages of the project, if required.
Disseminate updated schedules and reports to project team that then would enable them to manage their activities efficiently and effectively.
Produce monthly, weekly and daily reports on progress and critical points, analyzing deviations from the initial program, providing management with precise information regarding the status of the works. Any delays, and its impact on major milestones, its effect on any external stakeholders should be highlighted. Any variance to Contractual finish dates must be included in schedule narrative.
Career / Job experience
Experience in a similar role
Proven track record of successful control of medium to large infrastructure projects preferably within the wind sector.
Demonstrable experience and capability in planning and scheduling complex projects.
Project management knowledge and sound awareness of project methodology.
An understanding of risk and contract management
Education and qualification
Demonstrable experience in construction or in a similar industry
MS Office
MS Project and advanced knowledge of Primavera P6
SAP
