:Wood has an immediate requirement for a Project Planner to join the Operations group in our Fredericton, New Brunswick office.This is an exciting time to join our growing business with a wide range of projects. Due to our current and expanding portfolio, we are seeking a Project Planner to join our friendly and supportive team. In this role, you will be involved in delivering essential support for maintaining focus on critical activities to ensure delivery targets are achieved for Wood\'s clients.If you enjoy working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and will strive to deliver timely solutions while maintaining a customer focus, you are looking at the right position.   • The development, progressing, and reporting of Level 3 construction schedules for the execution of brownfield modification projects
  • Prepare a resource levelled schedule in Primavera P6
  • Adopt the agreed protocols for work breakdown structures and use of Primavera
  • Explore scenarios to look for the best available methodology
  • Identify, where applicable changes and / or variations
  • Produce a baseline schedule and communicate with relevant stakeholders
  • Assist in root cause analysis of actual manhours versus estimated
  • Produce monthly reports suitable for sharing externally with the customer representative
  • Interact with project management, team leads, clients, contractors, supply chain and construction regarding planning and scheduling activities
  • Thorough understanding of the contract, scope of work, estimate and supply chain / contracting plan for assigned projects
  • Maintain thorough understanding of company policies, procedures, and methodologies relevant to Planning / Scheduling discipline
Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in a construction or engineering environment
  • Bachelor\'s degree in engineering from a recognized institution or technical diploma
  • Strong proficiency in Primavera P6 is required
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience in project reporting, cost control, procurement, and contract administration
  • Excellent organization, inter-personal and communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Experience with MS Office Suite, including Word, Excel and Outlook
