Position and Responsibilities

Reporting to the lead, project materials in Supply Chain Management, you will manage receipt, tracking, storage, staging and issuing of project materials and equipment arriving from suppliers and contractors to the northern Saskatchewan site. You will be responsible for ensuring delay free availability of all project materials and equipment at the workface when needed. You will also assist the construction management team to meet project schedules and timelines.

This is a one-year temporary, staff position.

Education and Qualifications

Requirements of the position:

  • Diploma in business, materials management, or a related discipline
  • Eight to ten years of experience in materials management/warehousing/logistics
  • Equivalent combination of education and work experience will be considered
Assets:
  • Previous SAP experience
  • Transportation of Dangerous Goods Certificate
Preference will be given to Residents of Saskatchewan\'s North.

Safety Sensitive Site

The Key Lake and McArthur River operations are located in northern Saskatchewan and operate on a two week on/two week off rotational schedule. Employees commute to the site by aircraft from designated locations in Saskatchewan.

Safety is a top priority at Cameco. Successful candidates for all positions that will involve work at Safety-Sensitive Sites or in Safety-Sensitive Positions must take and pass a Substance Test, which includes marijuana, as a condition of employment. Marijuana remains in a user\'s system for about 30 days, so applicants who recently used marijuana recreationally should not expect to pass a substance test.
