Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Project Manager / Estimator to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of assigned commercial and institutional construction projects, from initial estimation to project completion. As a Project Manager / Estimator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful execution of projects, meeting client expectations, and maintaining profitability.

Responsibilities:



Review engineering drawings and plans to understand client's scope and needs. Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for construction projects, including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor costs Collaborate with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to gather project requirements and specifications Accountable for managing multiple projects simultaneously of varying scope Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure competitive pricing and availability of resources Create and manage project schedules, ensuring timely completion of all project phases Oversee and coordinate all project activities, including procurement, subcontractor management, quality control, and safety compliance Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement effective mitigation strategies Efficiently and timely processing of quotes requests received via any communication means, including RFQs, RFPs and RFIs. Be proactive and identify risks to mitigate problems Prepare and present project status reports to clients and senior management Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, codes, and standards Manage project budgets, track expenses, and implement cost-saving measures Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork and professional growth among project team members Engage in Project Ramp Up Site Meetings with Clients (Deficiencies, Final Touches, Etc.) and ensure manuals are delivered to the clients or architects

Requirements:



Proven experience as construction project manager in the ICI industry In-depth understanding of construction procedures and material and project management principles Familiarity with quality and health and safety standards Good knowledge of MS Office, including MS Project Familiarity with construction/ project management software Outstanding communication and negotiation skills Excellent organizational and time-management skills A team player with leadership abilities Engineering Degree / Technologist Diploma an asset PMP or equivalent certification will be an advantage Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites as required
