Job Description

CRCE Construction Group, based in Vaughan Ontario, has been providing construction services for over 30 years. We are currently seeking an junior project manager for an immediate position.   • Post-secondary diploma or degree in civil engineering, construction management, or similar would be considered an asset
  • Proven work experience as a coordinator or junior project manager, or within a similar position would be asset
  • Familiarity with financial and project management principles
  • Outstanding communication abilities
  • Excellent attention to detail and thoroughness in your work
  • Experience in Civil, Utilities, and hardscaping an asset
  • Ability to liaise with various departmental team members in order to investigate details and gather key pieces of information related to project management
  • Demonstrated efficiency and time management abilities with respect to your work
  • Above average communication and interpersonal skills with strong ability to negotiate outcomes that to the greatest extent possible meet the needs of all parties
  • Highly skilled in the use of MS office, MS Project, and other software programs related to construction manangement
Key Responsibilities:
  • Working with the project management team in all aspects of project mangement for existing and upcoming jobs
  • calculate suppplies and materials from blueprints
  • order supplies and materials for jobsites
  • order utility locates and continously keep updated by expiry dates
  • Consistently liasion with Site personnel to keep each project on time and budget
  • Prepare paperwork for billing and invoicing by gathering proposals, blueprints, specifications and related documents
  • Build relationships with key vendors (subcontractors, suppliers, engineers etc.)
  • work with the project management department and site staff on project planning (schedules, labour needs, time requirements, etc.).
  • Resolve various discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information
  • Travel to job sites and attend site meetings
  • Make recommendations on methods to ensure projects are more cost effective and/or profitable
  • Follow all established organizational policies and procedures
  • Support the vision and values of the organization
  • Promote and participate in a work environment free of workplace harassment and violence.
  • Adhere to the Occupational Health & Safety Act, Workplace Safety & Insurance Board Act, Ontario Human Rights Code and Employment Standards Act.
  • Participate in team/staff meetings when required
  • Work in a manner that preserves confidentiality and minimizes risks
  • Perform other duties as assigned
