Project Manager

The Senior Project Manager is a seasoned expert responsible for guiding a group of project managers in the delivery of highly complex projects from end to end including initiation, requirement gathering, design, construction, testing, implementation and closure. The role works with minimal direction on complex projects, providing expert level knowledge of project management principles, standards, and business consulting through considerable project delivery experience. The Senior Project Manager uses significant latitude to control projects, conduct status reviews, provide business guidance, identify any deviations to the project plan, and recommend corrective action to mitigate potential issues. The role analyzes situations and data to prepare and deliver executive level presentations to keep management informed of project status, changes, and milestone achievements.

You'll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you'll spend 1-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote.

What you'll be doing

As the Senior Project Manager, you will work to manage a portfolio of projects from end-to-end. You will lead teams of stakeholders and business partners to ensure projects of all sizes are completed in line with the team's budget and timeline. You will use your expertise in project management methodology to deliver against the project mandate.

How you'll succeed

  • Project Leadership - Work with Sponsors / leads, Business and technology partners and project team members, to initiate and manage initiatives. Support project management activities from business case to project closure, adhering to project management standards.
  • Collaboration - Work with internal partners in the development of programs, products, or services by assessing the impact, effectiveness and feasibility of proposed changes (review options and proposals, often developed by others). Make recommendations regarding feasibility and implementation of changes. Work with your team and partners toward a common goal and negotiate deliverables and milestones whenever necessary. Build ongoing partnerships with key clients and business partners.
  • Communication - Develop and present project artifacts to a wide range of audiences to support executive discussion and decision making. Calibrate work progress, status and participate in negotiations.
  • Stakeholder Management - Identify key stakeholders and manage communication and engagement throughout the project. Develop stakeholder engagement plan for key decisions and awareness of risks and issues.
