We are seeking a dynamic Project Manager to lead and oversee complex Structural Steel / Misc. Steel projects. This role is vital in ensuring seamless project execution, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. As a Project Manager, you will coordinate cross-functional teams, manage project lifecycle phases, and utilize industry-leading methodologies to deliver high-quality outcomes on time and within budget. Responsibilities
Lead the planning, execution, and closing of projects using structured project management methodologies.
Develop comprehensive scope project plans including, schedule, budget, risk management strategies, and resource allocation.
Facilitate requirements gathering sessions with estimators/management to define clear project objectives and deliverables.
Manage the project through scope management practices and control change management processes to adapt to evolving business needs.
Utilize your project management skills for scheduling, tracking progress, and reporting.
Conduct root cause analysis and risk assessments to proactively identify potential issues and implement mitigation strategies.
Manage vendor relationships and contracts ensuring compliance with organizational standards while optimizing costs through cost control techniques.
Facilitate meetings effectively to ensure alignment among customers and company; employ presentation skills to communicate project status clearly.
Implement quality management practices to uphold standards; monitor earned value management metrics for performance measurement.
Drive management activities including supervising project teams, conflict resolution, performance evaluations, and fostering a collaborative environment.
Support organizational change management efforts by guiding teams through transitions with effective communication strategies.
Ensure adherence to project management lifecycle phases from initiation through closure while maintaining documentation if needed.
Experience
Proven experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously within a fast-paced environment.
Demonstrated leadership skills with supervising teams of various sizes across different functions; experience in estimating would be highly valuable.
Strong expertise in problem solving and requirements analysis, requirements management tools, excel.
Hands-on experience with Structural steel project management is preferred
Certification in PMP (Project Management Professional), Six Sigma (Green Belt or Black Belt), Scrum Master or SAFe certifications are advantageous.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to negotiate effectively with customers at all levels while keeping stakeholders interest in mind.
Organizational skills complemented by proficiency in project scheduling
