About the Role

3D Metal is seeking a skilled

Project Manager (Special Projects)

to lead the planning, execution, and delivery of customized projects in architectural / steel fabrication & install, and specialized manufacturing. This role is responsible for managing scope, budgets, and schedules while ensuring quality and client satisfaction.

You'll collaborate with the internal team and external partners to define objectives, oversee production details, and coordinate resources across departments. From budget management to vendor negotiations and scheduling, you will play a key role in delivering complex, high-impact projects on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

Lead special projects in custom product development, steel design, fabrication, install and assembly. Work closely with designers and suppliers to manage costs, schedules, and deliverables. Prepare and manage detailed project estimates, budgets, and change orders. Collaborate with Account Management and Operations to monitor financial performance and ensure profitability. Develop project scopes of work with corresponding budgets for internal teams. Participate in client meetings and presentations as required. Communicate critical project details to designers, detailers, and operations staff. Approve vendor invoices related to labor and material costs. Create and monitor project schedules, address delays, and implement corrective actions. Maintain accurate project documentation including drawings, quotations, and historical files. Execute close-out procedures in alignment with project management protocols. Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Minimum 5 years' experience in project management for specialized or manufacturing projects. Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering (minimum 3 years). Strong background in heavy/industrial steel design, manufacturing, and assembly. Experience in machine component manufacturing and assembly. Proficiency in CAD and CAM software;

SolidWorks expertise is required

. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Detail-oriented, cost-conscious, and quality-driven. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite. Strong problem-solving abilities and a collaborative mindset. Willingness to travel occasionally (domestic and international).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $59,811.10-$122,255.86 per year
