The Teck Digital Systems Senior Project Manager (\xe2\x80\x9cPM\xe2\x80\x9d) is primarily responsible for successfully leading and delivering projects from inception to completion. Projects are pre-defined by various departments within TDS and, as such, the PM will take direction from various stakeholders such as Teck TDS Directors, in addition to the Project Management Office (\xe2\x80\x9cPMO\xe2\x80\x9d).The PM is expected to deliver all assigned projects on time, on budget, on plan, and with a high level of quality. While there will be no staff directly reporting into this role, the PM will be required to manage and supervise resources that have been assigned to the respective project.Don\'t miss out on this exciting opportunity to be part of one of Canada\'s leading mining companies and join our team!Responsibilities:

  • Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to a sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures.
  • Ensuring that a Project Lifecycle (from Initiation to Closure) is driven based on the current PMO policies and framework as defined in the PMO website.
  • Coordinating and leading the team members working on the project.
  • Working with Operations and Departmental managers to request and obtain required resources to meet results.
  • Managing all funds spent in relation to the project, including maintaining a detailed current view of budget, actuals and forecast numbers.
  • Developing and implementing required Test Plans to ensure high quality results.
  • Providing transparency into project health and manage scope changes through published schedules, regular status reporting, and current budget and forecasts.
  • Acting as a mediator between project collaborators and the project team.
  • Ensuring that all relevant documents and artifacts are stored in the appropriate project folders (SharePoint) as per the PMO framework requirements and are readily available for scrutiny by the PMO, management, and Internal Audit.
  • Ensuring all projects have been accurately authorized for execution at each stage of the lifecycle including Architectural and Security reviews and approval.
  • Ensuring execution of all phases of the projects are conducted in a responsible, safe manner ensuring there are no unreasonable risks taken that would jeopardize safety in any way.
  • Conducting ad-hoc project audits to confirm they are on track with documentation, budget, schedule and scope to mitigate potential risks to compliance or project success.
  • Verifying project process compliance for Corporate Applications SOX and related audits.
  • Deliverables include: Project Proposals, Projects Charters, Gantt Charts, Milestones, Cost Reports, Business Cases, Investment or Funding proposals, Test Plans, Close out reports, Lessons Learned, Stage Gate Documentation and more.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor\'s degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • 5+ years of experience with Implementations of ServiceNow for a large Enterprise with multiple locations and using outsourced managed services, with a solid understanding of ServiceNow functionality and administration.
  • 5+ years of experience with application of processes and tools to implement and enhance service management processes, e.g. Configuration Management, Asset Management, Incident Management, Request Management, Database Management, Problem Management, IT Knowledge Management, User Experience processes.
  • 10+ years in a Project Manager role managing IT projects in a large sophisticated corporate environment.
  • Proven experience of providing platform capabilities to enable measuring of Adoption and Optimization with KPIs and OKRs.
  • Skilled in iterative Agile delivery, knowledge of ITIL, and experience in Cost Management, Change Management, and Risk Management.
  • Practical experience managing projects greater than $1M and project delivery with 3rd party consultancy firms.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills at both technical and executive level, with proven management and team leadership abilities.
  • PMP certification and PMI Agile Certified Practitioner is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Mining, other Natural Resources, or Industrial business desirable.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM) module is considered an asset.
  • Proficient Spanish, both written and spoken, is considered an asset (but not essential).
