LOCATION
Located approximately 100 kilometres east of Toronto, NHH is a vibrant community hospital delivering a broad range of acute, post-acute, outpatient and diagnostic services. Directly serving a growing population of more than 60,000 residents spread across a mix of urban and rural settings, NHH directly employs approximately 750 people and relies on the additional support provided by a highly engaged and supportive network of physicians, midwives and volunteers.
ROLE OVERVIEW
The Project Manager will be joining a team responsible for major implementation and process design projects to modernize business system solutions across finance, human resources, workforce management and payroll. The Project Manager will use their experience, business knowledge, and technical skills to support the business systems transformation project, in the preparation for and implementation of new workforce management and payroll systems that will be integrated with new human resources and finance systems. Reporting to the Manager, Project Management Office, the Project Manager will provide support by assessing and documenting design and configuration decisions and converting them into payroll and workforce management solutions, and testing functionality once built.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
Post Secondary Education in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration or related discipline from an accredited institution is required
5+ years of project management experience or blend of functional management and project management experience is required, with a demonstrated track record of successfully delivering complex projects, with multiple stakeholders
Prior Business Systems (Finance, Human Resources, Payroll, Workforce Management) implementation project experience
Experience and understanding of how to effectively manage change, integration, and improvement projects
Ability to communicate effectively with senior management and project stakeholders
Ability to apply extensive project management knowledge and expertise (project planning, implementation, evaluation, risk assessment, benefits realization)
Ability to lead diverse teams of professional employees
Ability to mentor and affect desired results based on team members' individual goals and objectives (specifically listening, coaching, group facilitation and conflict resolution skills)
Strong tactical and good critical strategic thinking
Proven ability to adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic project environment;
Analytical ability with excellent attention to detail
Excellent ability to anticipate and analyze risks and issues, explore alternatives, develop appropriate recommendations with project and technical teams and present issue to senior leadership
Ability to independently manage multiple projects, prioritize multiple conflicting priorities
Ability to understand and communicate technical issues clearly, both verbally and through written communications
Demonstrated leadership skills such as conflict/issue resolution and negotiation skills
Excellent customer relations and support service
Excellent listening, coaching, group facilitation and conflict resolution skills

Excellent problem recognition and problem-solving abilities

Excellent experience in formal procurement processes, contract negotiations, and vendor management
Excellent resilience and ability to support team to persevere in difficult situations, overcome obstacles, and reach high levels of performance when faced with stressful work situations and time pressures
Proficient use of related management software, such as MS Project, Visio, MS Office.
Demonstrates a professional and respectful attitude to patients, public, volunteers and colleagues and fosters good public relations and effective working relationships
Ability to respond to many simultaneous/competing demands from patients, families, staff, physicians, and other programs and departments
Demonstrated compliance with all Occupational Health and Safety Legislation and Infection Prevention and Control practices

ASSETS
Project Management Professional (PMP) is preferred
Other certification (Lean/Six Sigma, ITIL, Change Management) is an asset

EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS
Successful applicants are required provide a satisfactory vulnerable sector criminal reference check, that was complete less than one year from the date of hire. This requirement must be met within the first sixty (60) days of employment.
Additionally, to the above, successful applicants are also required to complete the Health Care Worker Health review process which includes providing an up-to-date immunization record to ensure compliance with the Ontario Hospital Association Communicable Diseases Surveillance Protocols within the first thirty (30) days of employment. Northumberland Hills Hospital operates a mandatory COVID-19 vaccination policy for all staff.
