Calgary Housing (CH) is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the City of Calgary. We are transforming to support resident success, modernize our business, and contribute to creating diverse, inclusive communities. The Project Manager, Policy within the Portfolio Management division will lead the development and implementation of strategies, policies, programs, and services to advance organizational objectives related to portfolio management. You will provide strategic advice and policy recommendations to senior management, the CH Board of Directors, and various external interested parties. Primary duties include:
Develop, monitor, and update portfolio level transition plans, capital funding strategies and program guides supporting CH's transition towards a mixed income model.
Support the negotiating of operating agreements for all CH managed portfolios and lead exploration of funding opportunities and preparation of proposals and applications.
Ensure legal and regulatory compliance for all operating and funding agreements managed by CH; coordinate ongoing compliance reporting to representatives such as municipal, provincial, and federal governments.
Work with corporate interested parties to implement and execute real estate portfolio strategies at a corporate, portfolio and site level. Align and integrate strategies, actions, and tactics with CH's Sustainability Plan, capital investment plans, asset management plans, annual operating and capital budgets, corporate risk registers and strategic work plans.
Identify issues, conduct research and/or engagement with internal and external interested parties, identify and analyze options and develop recommendations to change and improve existing strategies, policy, and service delivery models.
Provide analysis, strategic advice, and policy recommendations to advance the delivery of portfolio management. Identify gaps, conduct research, develop policies, and make recommendations to various interested parties and approval levels.
Conduct research, engagement, and analysis to respond to policy initiatives and programs from other orders of government.
Initiate and lead project management activities, such as: determine project scope, engage with internal and external interested parties, assemble, and lead cross-corporate team members, identifying and mitigate risks, monitoring project progress, report back through oral and written reports to senior management, and the CH Board of Directors.
