about this team

Retail Operations delivers best in class operational support to NA Retail Stores. Acts as liaison between SSC and stores to deliver key projects and resources. The Retail Ops Excellence team focuses on generating operational excellence through continuous process improvement and optimizing physical space to drive consistent guest experience. This includes design, development, and delivery of standard operating procedures (SOPs) and the creation of resources to support our retail stores in maximizing their operational productivity within their physical space.

a day in the life: what you'll do

• Full project life cycle ownership: successful project delivery will include full implementation from initiation (including gathering and evaluation technology requirements) to deployment for one major or several minor initiatives simultaneously. This includes creating and maintaining technical project plans and creating the implementation approach to transition a test/pilot into day-to-day operations.
• Create plans for change management and communication; and build and manage store facing resources and tools
• Analyze and develop store operations procedures and processes for retail stores that main components can include technology hardware, software and direct to guest experience
• Define project responsibilities with stakeholders.
• Maintain project time frames, budget estimates and status reporting regarding project milestones, deliverables, dependencies, risks, and issues, communicating across retail ops leadership and key cross-functional partners
• Research and development on how to optimize operational spaces in our stores. This includes the developing and leading the implementation of test and learns and pilots for our retail stores.
• Role Focus: Physical space optimization portfolio. This includes developing benchmarks and guidelines for operational spaces within our NA retail stores, managing test/learn projects, and supporting with design and development of field studies to audit existing retail spaces.

qualifications

• Preferred location: Vancouver; Open to: Toronto, Chicago, Seattle, LA, NYC
• Key Asset: Project management experience in any of the following fields: store design, construction, architecture, and industrial engineering.
• Project management experience, including tracking and planning projects, process improvement and managing test and learn projects.
• Retail experience is highly recommended
• Organized, detail oriented, and an analytical thinker
• Possess the ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
• Confident in creating and delivering training and communication to large groups/teams
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• High level of experience with project management tools including power point, excel, Smartsheet and outlook
• Strong time management and planning skills
• Bachelor's Degree in appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience
