The Fundy Biosphere Region contributes to building vibrant and resilient human and environmental communities through conservation and promotion of sustainable development in the Upper Bay of Fundy region.Fundy Biosphere Region is looking for an enthusiastic Project Manager for our Forests of the Future program. The successful candidate will be a motivated, dynamic and purpose-driven individual who works well within and leading a team.Training for this position is available so we encourage all interested individuals to apply.Responsibilities -
- Oversee our Forests of the Future program including projects management, partnership development, implementation and reporting.
- Work with nurseries to source native Wabanaki Forest species for our projects and events
- Site identification and planning, and landowner engagement
- Staff and volunteer coordination for planting events
- Plant, monitor, and report on new planting sites and maintain recently planted sites
- Funding proposal development and reporting
- Support the maintenance of sugarwood plantations and syrup production
- Support other projects within the biosphere's mandateQualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Forestry and Environmental Management or related field
- 3-5 years of relevant work experience
- Self-motivated and highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Ability manage a flexible schedule
- Excellent communication skills
- Willingness and ability to work outside in a variety of weather conditions
- Proficient with Google Suite
- Access to reliable transportation and class 5 license is required
- Bilingual in French and English considered an assetTerm and rate:

• 1 year, renewable annually based on performance
• 35h/week, typically weekdays although some evenings and weekends will be required

• This position is budgeted within the range of $40,000 - 50,000. Actual salary will be based on skills and experience. Annual performance increase may be available but not guaranteed.
