Title: IT Project Manager Role
Location: Mississauga, Ontario

The IT Project Manager, working on the IT Portfolio and Project Management Team (PMO Team), will be responsible in leading IT projects from start to end. The Project Manager will manage the integration, execution and communication for the whole project. They will deliver the end to end project (s) to the agreed upon timeline, quality and within the budgeted project cost. They will ensure that the projects (s) are individually defined, planned and delivered to the respective goals and objectives.
Job Responsibilities:

• Sets out the scope of IT projects by engaging the business stakeholders and managing the project through its entire lifecycle – from initiation to deployment and to the production environment.
• Establishes strong relationship across IT and the business to deliver successful projects in a fully collaborative manner.
• Continually monitors project progress and provides analysis and feedback on project progress, activities, improvements, and savings. Completes project analyses and reports in an accurate and timely fashion.
• Defines and manages the master project plan - ensuring project updates are completed on SharePoint and PowerPoint – and communicated to senior IT management.
• Defines each IT project to include project schedule, goals, objectives, governance, procedure monitor and communication.
• Ensures the integrity of each project - focusing on internal consistency and compliance to standards, processes and strategies.
• Leads projects through ambiguity and competing priorities while managing large complex cross-functional change programs.
• Maintains Project team motivation thru the project lifecycle and represents the IT organization as a positive role model.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5+ years of experience in a software development environment with 2 years experience as an IT PM or a similar role.
• Must have strong technical background with software development lifecycle practices and end to end software projects.
• Experience in custom application development environment, including Web Services, API and Integration projects are an asset
• Bachelor’s degree preferably of a technical, or engineering orientation.
• Demonstrated knowledge and skills in the following areas: project management body of knowledge (PMBOK), business analysis, data analytics, problem solving, change management, multi-tasking and priority management.
• High energy level, goal oriented, self-starter with willingness to learn new ideas
• Expertise in project management tools including Microsoft Project and Cloud Collaboration platforms (e.g. Wrike, Asana, etc.)
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite – MS PowerPoint, Project Timeline, Excel and Word
• Proven project management skills with excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
• Desire to drive change and improve processes and standards
• Experience collaborating cross-functionally in a matrix structure and influencing stakeholders at all levels of the organization

Preferred Qualifications:

• Retail energy experience.
• Project management related training and diplomas.
• PMP or similar certifications.
