Overview of Position:
Cobra Mechanical Ltd. a division of Cobra Enterprises, requires a Project Manager. The successful candidate will have Mechanical and Electrical experience/knowledge and must have at least 5 years Foreman experience in residential, commercial or industrial settings. The Project Manager is accountable for providing project management and direction for a project or portfolio of projects with annual revenues up to $12M, ensuring timely completion and profitability for all projects. The incumbent is involved in project planning and start-up, project financials, project pre-construction, project execution and close-out, and maintains a relentless focus on meeting and exceeding customer needs and expectations. You will possess the technical, leadership, and communication skills necessary to complete a project from estimate to close-out with limited supervision.
Key Responsibilities:
Managing projects
Site visits for QA
Managing budgets, scheduling, and manpower requirements
Communicating with customers and engineers
Identifying and pricing PCN's and extra costs
Estimating
Taking the lead in problem solving
Preferred Qualifications (What you will contribute to the Cobra team / Experience or Certification):
Red Seal Certified Plumber or Electrician with at least 5 years experience working as a foreman in all facets of construction
Minimum 2 years experience as a project manager
Proven track record of estimating jobs competitively
Willing to travel to northern communities for day trips or overnight trips
Understand construction safety requirements
Knows how to use Microsoft word, excel, adobe
Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills
Knowledge of accounting, estimating, construction costs, scheduling, purchasing, and engineering principles and techniques
Knowledge of various electrical methods and installation procedures; and a general understanding of the operation of various building systems
Strong computer skills and working knowledge with Microsoft Office (excel, word, etc.), and Microsoft Projects
Demonstrated ability to thoroughly understand drawings and specifications, general contract and subcontract documents, materials, means and methods.
Ability to read and interpret building specifications, blueprints, and as-builds
Mathematical skills and analytical skills necessary to compile and interpret job cost reports
