Job Description


Job Summary:

The primary role of the project manager is to plan and supervise shutdown work by working hand in hand with the customer and the service department, from the inspection of the customer\'s conveyor systems to the completion of the work and its acceptance by the customer. The secondary role of the project manager is to provide technical support to sales representatives. In this regard, the project manager will inspect and analyze conveyor systems in order to make recommendations that will ensure the optimal operation of the customer\'s conveyor systems, all in close collaboration with the sales representatives.

Planning and supervising shutdown work :

Perform the inspection of conveyor systems;
Complete inspection reports and make recommendations to the customer, and have the customer service department prepare quotations reflecting the scope of the recommended work;
Review the work to be completed with the customer and establish a schedule to carry it out as efficiently as possible;
Obtain customer purchase orders in a timely fashion, allowing the customer service department to open work orders and ensure that the belts and components required are available on time;
Plan for the necessary manpower and equipment to perform the work;
Prepare all job site documentation (time sheet, etc.);
Participate in customer safety meetings, and lead the pre-job and safety meetings with the employees that will be performing the work;
Work with the service department to coordinate the execution of the work;
Ensure that the work is completed in accordance with the customer\'s and Nuera Industrial\'s safety procedures;
Be present on site to supervise the work;
Ensure customer satisfaction with the work performed; and
Ensure that all documentation has been signed and approved by the customer, allowing the customer service department to proceed with invoicing the work.

Technical support to sales representatives:

Provide product and service-related support to the sales team;
Perform inspections and analyses of problematic conveyor systems, and make recommendations to resolve these problems;
As needed, conduct research with suppliers in order to offer the most optimal technical solution to customers; and
Perform conveyor system surveys.

Education and experience:

University degree in mechanical engineering or technical training combined with relevant work experience; and
At least 3 years experience as a project manager in an industrial setting.

Technical skills :

Understanding of mechanical systems;

Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
