Our client is a top financial institution with significant North American holdings. They have operations across most major verticals, including institutional & corporate, wealth management, private client, commercial banking, treasury, and retail banking.
Introduction: Robertson is seeking a skilled Project Manager - IT III to join our client in support of an existing vacancy.
Contract Period: 10 months with potential to extend or convert
Pay Rate: Starting from $65 per hour
Location: Toronto, ON
Location Type: Hybrid; onsite - Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday
Business Hours: Monday to Friday; 9AM to 5PM
Job Responsibilities:

• Define project scope, goals, timelines, and deliverables
• Develop and manage project plans, schedules, and budgets
• Coordinate cross-functional teams including developers, QA, UX, infra, and vendors
• Track progress, identify risks, and remove blockers
• Manage stakeholder expectations and communication
• Ensure requirements are captured, documented, and validated
• Oversee change requests, prioritization, and scope management
• Facilitate sprint planning, standups, demos, and retros (in Agile environments)
• Monitor technical dependencies and integration points
• Ensure quality assurance, testing, and successful deployments
• Manage documentation and sign-offs across phases (BRD/FRD, UAT, etc.)
• Ensure compliance with IT security, governance, and standards
• Report project status, KPIs, and escalations to leadership
• Lead post-implementation reviews and lessons learned

Experience & Qualification Requirements:
Technical Skills:

• Proven experience as an IT Project Manager
• Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification or experience
• Expertise in Agile methodology
• Optional - Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) or similar certifications (optional)
• Optional - Professional Scrum Master (PSM) or SAFe Scrum Master (SSM), Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP), or Certified Scrum Professional (CSP) (optional)

Domain Knowledge:

• Excellent knowledge of Agile, JIRA, and their application in project management
• Understanding of data handling, privacy concerns, and the importance of data quality
• Ability to understand technical challenges and collaborate effectively with business stakeholders in Asia and North America, and other subject experts
• Experience Level: Senior (L3, 10+ years), with substantial experience in managing IT projects, particularly global in nature
