Overview

Our client is seeking an

Intermediate Project Manager

to join their growing commercial construction team in Edmonton. This is a great opportunity to work on

high-profile Industrial, Commercial, and Institutional (ICI) projects

ranging from $50K to $30M, including schools, hospitals, universities, office buildings, retail developments, warehouses, and mixed-use concrete high-rises.

What You'll Do

Lead projects from planning through close-out, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to specification. Manage multiple commercial and institutional projects ($50K-$30M) including new builds, renovations, and tenant improvements. Develop and execute project schedules, budgets, and work plans. Negotiate and administer contracts, revisions, and change orders with consultants, clients, suppliers, and subcontractors. Oversee health, safety, and quality standards across all projects. Coordinate with subcontractors to resolve issues around labour, delivery, scheduling, and payments. Conduct client meetings, track progress, and maintain project files and documentation. Review and approve subcontractor billings, staff hours, and cost-to-complete forecasts. Lead project close-out: deficiencies, client sign-off, after-sales service, and documentation (O&M manuals). Build and maintain client relationships to secure future business opportunities.
What You Bring

7+ years of progressive experience

in commercial construction, ideally including Project Coordinator, Estimator, or Site experience. Proven success managing ICI projects such as schools, hospitals, universities, office towers, retail, warehouses, or concrete high-rise mixed-use developments. Strong tenure with past employers (no "job hoppers"). Experience with projects up to $30M. University degree or college diploma in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Professional certifications (P.Eng., CET, PMP, Gold Seal) considered an asset. Proficiency with construction project management software (e.g., MS Project, Procore, Buildertrend, or similar). Strong written and verbal communication, client management, and leadership skills. Motivated, energetic, and collaborative team player--not at "end-of-career" stage. Valid driver's license (all projects are based in Edmonton area).
Compensation & Perks

Base salary

$115,000 - $130,000

(higher may be considered for exceptional experience)

Bonus

: 6-12% of base, paid annually at Christmas
