Role Overview:
We're hiring a Project Manager to lead the Engineering and Project groups within a growing transformer division. You'll be responsible for ensuring the technical and operational execution of complex transformer-related projects while acting as a key liaison across internal and external teams. This role requires a strong foundation in electrical engineering, solid project management capabilities, and the ability to manage cross-functional teams across multiple locations.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee engineering and project teams to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery of transformer projects
Coordinate project timelines, deliverables, and communication across departments
Manage stakeholder expectations, reporting progress to executive leadership and clients
Review technical specifications and ensure engineering solutions align with project goals
Ensure compliance with safety standards, industry codes, and quality protocols
Facilitate site visits, client meetings, and coordination with external vendors as needed
Identify project risks and actively manage mitigation strategies
Qualifications:
Required:
Must be based in Canada
Degree in Electrical Engineering
3-5+ years of project management experience in an engineering or technical environment
Fluency in English and Mandarin
Strong communication and organizational skills
Willingness to travel across Canada and the U.S.
Preferred:
Prior experience working with transformers or substation equipment
PMP certification or formal project management training
