The SAP S/4HANA Upgrade Project Manager will lead and oversee the upgrade from SAP S/4HANA 1909 to 2023 within the Utilities Industry . The role requires strong project management expertise , including planning, execution, stakeholder management, risk mitigation, and team leadership. The Project Manager will ensure that SAP S4 HANA, OpenText, and MDG solutions are successfully implemented within the project's scope, timeline, and budget.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Project Planning & Execution:
• Develop detailed project plans , aligning customer requirements with business goals.
• Coordinate activities between internal teams, third-party contractors, and consultants .
• Oversee all phases of the SAP S/4HANA upgrade (1909 to 2023) project.
• Ensure all milestones and deliverables are met according to the timeline.
2. Stakeholder Management:
• Act as the primary contact for customers, partners, and third-party vendors .
• Provide regular status updates and ensure alignment with business objectives.
• Foster collaboration between internal teams and external consultants .
3. Risk & Issue Management:
• Identify potential risks and issues in the project lifecycle.
• Develop mitigation strategies to reduce project disruptions.
• Ensure all compliance, quality, and security requirements are met.
4. Team Leadership & Coordination:
• Lead a cross-functional project team , ensuring accountability and performance.
• Provide guidance, coaching, and leadership to team members.
• Motivate the team to meet project deadlines and deliverables .
5. Technical Expertise:
• Oversee the SAP S/4HANA upgrade with integration to OpenText and MDG .
• Ensure the solution aligns with business processes and IT strategies .
• Collaborate with technical consultants to resolve issues during the upgrade.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
Education & Experience:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration , or a related field.
• 8-14 years of experience in SAP S/4HANA upgrade project management .
• Strong hands-on Project Management experience with:
• SAP S/4HANA (1909 to 2023 upgrade)
• OpenText & MDG (Master Data Governance)
• Utilities Industry implementation experience (Preferred).
Project Management & Leadership:
• PMP certification or equivalent preferred .
• Strong experience managing SAP technical teams and consultants .
• Excellent stakeholder engagement, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
Technical & Business Skills:
• Strong understanding of SAP S/4HANA architecture and functionalities .
• Ability to manage multiple SAP-related projects concurrently.
• Proficiency in Agile and Waterfall methodologies for project execution.

The pay range that the employer in good faith reasonably expects to pay for this position is $55.48/hour - $86.68/hour. Our benefits include medical, dental, vision and retirement benefits.
