Job Summary




The Project Manager, Digital Health is responsible for leading the planning, execution, and delivery of digital health initiatives that enhance patient care, improve clinical workflows, and support organizational transformation. Working collaboratively with cross-functional team; including clinical staff, medical staff, IT, operations, and executive leadership teams, the Project Manager ensures that projects are delivered on time, within scope and budget, and in alignment with strategic objectives. This role requires strong project management skills, a deep understanding of healthcare environments, and a passion for leveraging technology to drive innovation in care delivery and patient engagement.

Skills & Abilities



Proficient in tools such as MS Project, Jira, Confluence, Smartsheet, or equivalent. Proficiency with MS Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Sound organizational, documentation and planning skills with the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and meet conflicting deadlines are essential. Outstanding interpersonal, influencing and communication skills to build strong relationships, gain credibility and network effectively with all levels of the organization and with external partners. Manage competing priorities and urgent timelines in high-stakes clinical settings. Thrive in fast-changing environments, such as during EMR transitions or when scaling digital services. Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills tailored to clinical, technical, and executive audiences. Understanding of digital health technologies, system integrations, and clinical workflows. Lean, Six Sigma, or other quality improvement methodologies applied in healthcare settings. Demonstrated experience in resource management and conflict resolution. Motivate and guide multidisciplinary teams, often without direct authority. Systems thinker, with experience leading projects and initiatives aligned with strategic directions. Proven experience in needs assessment, analytical, problem-solving and documentation skills Demonstrated understanding of inter-professional collaboration and education. Ability to perform duties in a professional and courteous manner and produce high quality work while meeting deadlines in accordance to Southlake Health standards. Demonstrated commitment to customer service and teamwork. Handle sensitive health information and clinical decisions with confidentiality and responsibility. Qualifications



Post-Secondary education in healthcare science or appropriate healthcare field as an asset PMP certification is an asset Five (5+) years' experience managing projects in a hospital, clinical, or broader healthcare setting. Experience leading implementations of EMRs/EHRs, CPOE, telehealth, clinical decision support systems, patient portals, etc. Experience with identifying, designing, and implementing digital health projects Leading organizational change initiatives in clinical environments, ideally tied to digital transformation Experience in the full project lifecycle (initiation to closure), ideally in both agile and waterfall/hybrid environments Managing project budgets, timelines, risks, and resource allocations.

Primary Responsibilities



Lead the planning, execution, monitoring, and completion of digital health projects, ensuring alignment with clinical and organizational priorities. Develop detailed project plans, timelines, resource allocations, and risk management strategies. Collaborate with clinical staff, medical staff, IT, hospital leadership, and external vendors to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables. Facilitate regular meetings and status updates to ensure transparent communication and stakeholder alignment and engagement. Develop and implement change management strategies to support adoption of digital health solutions. Communicate effectively with diverse clinical and non-clinical stakeholders to manage expectations and ensure smooth transitions. Manage relationships with digital health vendors, including oversight of deliverables, service level agreements, and contract compliance Monitor project budgets and ensure effective use of financial and human resources. Track project expenditures and report variances to leadership as required. Manage recruitment, retention, and performance management of staff or consultants dedicated to projects Define KPIs and success metrics for digital health initiatives. Prepare and present project status reports, risks, and post-implementation evaluations to leadership teams. Ensure all digital health initiatives adhere to hospital policies, data privacy regulations (e.g., HIPAA or local equivalents), and cybersecurity standards. Proactively identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies. Identify opportunities for workflow optimization and efficiency gains through digital tools. Promote innovation and continuous improvement in project management practices. * During critical times of any project implementation, it may be required to work off-hours and/or non-business hours
