Description and Requirements

Superior Propane is seeking a highly organized, proactive, and results-driven Project Manager to join our team. This role reports to the Manager, PMO and Architecture. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in managing a variety of projects in medium to large enterprises, focusing on systems and process improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create and execute project work plans, revising as needed to meet changing requirements
• Manage project scope, schedule, cost, and risks
• Monitor and control project budget and financial performance
• Identify resources needed and assign individual responsibilities
• Develop status updates for stakeholders and Manager
• Manage day-to-day operational aspects of a project and scope
• Review deliverables prepared by the team before passing to stakeholders
• Apply Project Management methodology and enforce project standards
• Prepare for engagement reviews and quality assurance procedures
• Identify, mitigate, and minimize project risks
• Ensure project documentation is complete, current, and stored appropriately
• Facilitate team and user meetings effectively, managing conflict among team members and stakeholders
• Hold regular status meetings with the project team and effectively communicate relevant project information
• Deliver engaging, informative, well-organized presentations
• Resolve and/or escalate issues in a timely manner
• Communicate difficult/sensitive information tactfully

Education & Experience:

• A mature, sharp, well-organized, structured self-starter who requires little hand-holding
• A people-friendly individual with customer service orientation, able to lead and persuade, hold others accountable, and manage conflict tactfully
• 3-5 years of project management experience in large to medium organizations
• 1-3 years of vendor management (information technology vendors)
• Superb communication and presentation skills, able to interact with VP and senior level management
• Project and delivery experience with major Systems Integrators is a strong asset (e.g., IBM Global Services, Accenture, Deloitte, CSC)
• Excellent project management, process design, and organizational skills
• Ability to facilitate and actively promote cooperation between different teams
• Undergraduate degree from an accredited university, MBA preferred
• PMI certification desirable; Lean or Six Sigma certifications an asset
• Successful track record delivering IS projects with a mid-sized team (10-20 people)
• Knowledge of project management software and Microsoft software
• Experience in cross-functional collaboration and navigating complex landscapes
• Understanding of modern supply chain dynamics in any industry
