Project Manager - Concrete Formwork

About the Role

We're looking for a

hands-on Project Manager

with strong experience in

concrete formwork

to oversee projects from tender to closeout.
Our work includes

walls, slabs, foundations, and specialized systems such as ICF (Insulated Concrete Forming)

.

The right candidate will be detail-oriented, confident in reading and interpreting drawings, and capable of turning plans into organized, efficient execution in coordination with site operations.

Key Responsibilities

Review and interpret structural and architectural drawings to confirm scope, identify discrepancies, and plan the work accordingly. Verify dimensions, elevations, rebar details, and embed locations to ensure accuracy before construction begins. Prepare project budgets, schedules, and cost forecasts; monitor progress and address issues proactively. Coordinate daily with site supervisors to align drawings, field conditions, and sequencing requirements. Lead technical reviews and provide clear direction when drawing conflicts or RFI items arise. Manage procurement of materials and equipment; maintain strong relationships with suppliers and rental partners. Oversee field layout, formwork design intent, and integration of systems such as ICF, wall panels, and slab formwork. Track quantities, labour hours, and productivity; verify timesheets and invoices for accuracy. Issue and track change orders, back charges, and extra work documentation. Communicate effectively with clients, consultants, and field teams to maintain transparency and momentum. Assist with estimating and tendering new projects when required.

Qualifications

5+ years of experience in

concrete formwork

, including ICF, wall, and slab systems. 5+ years in project management, coordination, or supervisory capacity. Strong ability to

read, interpret, and apply all construction drawings and specifications

. Solid understanding of formwork systems, rebar detailing, and sequencing. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word) and

Revu Blueprint (Bluebeam Revu)

software for drawing review and markups.

Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Excellent command of the English language -- both written and verbal -- is a must.

Valid driver's license and ability to communicate effectively with field operations.

Professional credentials such as PMP (Project Management Professional) or CET (Certified Engineering Technologist) are considered an asset.
