The Opportunity
McElhanney has an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager to join our growing team in Calgary, AB. This role is ideal for someone with a solid foundation in civil infrastructure, whether in construction, consulting, or field-based roles, and a strong desire to grow their project management career. You'll take ownership of project coordination, client interaction, and technical deliverables, with guidance from experienced senior staff.

What You'll Be Doing
Manage and coordinate civil engineering or construction-related projects with guidance from senior leadership
Serve as a key point of contact for clients, contractors, and internal teams
Lead project elements including proposals, schedules, budgets, progress reporting, change orders, and invoicing
Oversee or contribute to the preparation of technical reports and deliverables
Collaborate with engineering and field staff to ensure quality and consistency across all phases of project delivery
Participate in client meetings and help build lasting relationships through clear communication and responsiveness
What You'll Bring
8-10 years of experience in the civil and/or construction engineering industry, ideally with 3-5 years in a consulting environment
1-2 years of experience in managing projects of increasing complexity or demonstrated capability in project coordination of multi-disciplinary infrastructure projects
Experience with municipal works such as waterlines, sewers, water and wastewater systems would be an asset
Proven experience with rural highway and road projects would be an asset
Experience with progress reporting, progress payments, change orders, invoicing, and proposals
Strong written and verbal communication skills, particularly with technical writing, client communication, and documentation
Registration in good standing as a Professional Engineer (P. Eng.) or a Professional Technologist (P.Tech) or eligibility to register in Alberta is required
What Can We Offer You?
The salary range for this position is $95,000 to $115,000 per annum. McElhanney offers fair compensation that is commensurate with the individual's education, experience, skills, and professional qualifications. The posted base salary/wage range is representative of the required level of qualifications and experience for the position as noted in the job posting. The salary offered will be based on the experience and qualifications of the successful candidate.
