Job Description


Seeking an experienced Project Manager to join the Credit Risk team in one of Canada\'s leading banks. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills and a solid understanding of credit risk frameworks and regulatory requirements.

  • Project Leadership: Oversee all phases of project management from initiation to closure, ensuring projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including risk analysts, compliance officers, and IT teams, to gather requirements and ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Process Improvement: Evaluate existing credit and risk processes, recommending and implementing improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all projects adhere to relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Prepare and present project status reports to senior management, maintaining thorough documentation of project progress and outcomes.
  • Change Management: Facilitate change management initiatives, ensuring that team members are trained and informed about new processes and systems.
  • Budget Management: Monitor project budgets and expenditures, ensuring financial accountability and reporting any discrepancies.

  • Bachelor\'s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field; a master\'s degree or relevant certification (e.g., PMP, PMI-ACP) is a plus.
  • Minimum 7 years of project management experience in the banking or financial services industry, specifically in credit and risk management.
  • Strong understanding of credit risk frameworks, risk assessment methodologies, and regulatory compliance (e.g., Basel III, Dodd-Frank).
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software (e.g., MS Project, JIRA, Trello).
