Project Manager

Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced
Project Manager
to oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of capital equipment installations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management, experience in the agricultural sector, and knowledge of trades and the overall scope of general construction builds. The Project Manager will also ensure that the project is delivered on time, on budget and within scope.
Key Responsibilities include:
Partners with salesperson to determine and define the scope of the project and objectives; approve project costings.
Coordinates internal resources and third parties/vendors for the effective execution of projects
Receiving and signing off on project materials that are going direct to site
Determines what resources are available, estimates time and financial commitment
Creates a detailed plan which identifies and sequences the activities needed to successfully complete the project
Determines availability of resources and ensures appropriate allocation of those resources
Selects and evaluates subcontractors as well as on-site supervising, monitoring and controlling their performance; approves invoices.
Identifies and effectively resolves issues to keep the project on track
Creates and maintains comprehensive project documentation
Monitors project and compares progress to project plan
Reports project progress to customer, management team and other key stakeholders
Monitors and approves all budgeted expenditures
Meets budgetary objectives and makes adjustments to project constraints based on financial analysis
Resolves issues quickly as they arise to keep project on track
Monitors, enforces and reports safety related issues while serving as a member of the Safety Committee
Skills Required:
University degree in a related subject; Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is preferred
2+ years proven working experience in project management
Excellent working knowledge of Agricultural Equipment and its installation
Strong understanding of blueprints
Budget management experience
Ability to forecast - create schedules to efficiently meet milestones
Strong Agricultural product knowledge
Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills
Strong decision-making and analytical ability
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and other computer software
Experience with project management in the agricultural industry is preferred
