We are looking for a driven Data Project Manager to join our Business Analytics team to lead and facilitate our Data Strategy Program. As a member of our team, you will act as a support for our internal business units, partnering with business and technology leaders to deliver data initiatives throughout all areas of our business. A primary focus for the role will be overseeing projects within our Digital Labs team. Whether scoping projects, leading timelines and budgets, engaging partners across the enterprise or keeping a pulse on developments in the industry, each week provides opportunities to help craft the future of analytics within the sports and entertainment industry. We are searching for a leader with experience leading concurrent projects in a multifaceted environment with timelines and changing business needs. The ability to translate business needs into technical requirements is essential. Understanding and solving sophisticated business problems comes naturally to you, and you can communicate project progress to all levels of the organization with ease. Your attention to detail is outstanding, you have a high degree of financial competence, and you are passionate about the sports & entertainment industry. Responsibilities:
  • Drive the data and analytics projects varying in size - including product development, and data integration, through to large-scale digital transformation projects.
  • Understand and interpret our business partners\' challenges and goals, and collaborate with both internal technical teams and external vendors to deliver innovative solutions both on time and within budget.
  • Conduct regular project status meetings and ensure deliverables are of high quality and meet stakeholders\xe2\x80\x99 requirements.
  • Identify project risks and establish risk mitigation plans with functional managers.
  • Present project updates to leadership audiences and provide relevant recommendations.
  • Support the development and evaluation of strategic business cases.
  • Facilitate the creation and management of the benefits realization plan to effectively align our initiatives to the organization\xe2\x80\x99s strategic goals and objectives.


Qualifications

  • Post-secondary degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Economics, Finance, Engineering, or other relevant areas is an asset.
  • Proven experience in Project/Program Management, Consulting, Digital, Technology or Strategic Planning/Corporate Development.
  • Experience in data integration, segmentation and reporting within a CRM and Marketing environment is an asset.
  • Knowledgeable in Salesforce, marketing cloud, analytics and data experience, and working with project management software (e.g., Jira)
  • Superior communication skills to engage, influence, and establish relationships with stakeholders and key partners at all levels.
  • Experience leading sophisticated projects with the ability to work in an environment with fluid structure and operations.
  • Understands interdependencies between technology, operations, and business needs to effectively support the development of business cases.
  • Excellent organization, and time management skills to plan, prioritize, and coordinate own and others\xe2\x80\x99 activities.
  • Intimate knowledge of MS Office Suite, particularly in PowerPoint.
  • Consistent track record of problem-solving and clearly presenting insights and recommendations.
  • Ability to explain sophisticated insights to a non-technical audience.
