WONDERING WHAT YOU\'LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR?
Your role will require you to bring a high standard of planning and coordination to your daily work. These responsibilities will be in your domain.
  • Review project risk assessments and confirm mitigation plans are adequate.
  • Monitor project performance and track risk, provide reports on project billings, held time, overrun, delivery, quality, resourcing risks, procedure adherence (controls, timesheets, etc.), and communication issues
  • Conduct overrun investigations, identify opportunities for cost recovery, and prepare summary reports including financial metrics and lessons learned
  • Provide operational oversight (review and meeting) of projects or project teams to provide critical review, direction, and mentoring
  • Support the Operations Department with development of risk management standards, policies, and procedures as they relate to project management
  • Contribute to the continued improvement of project management standards and best practices
  • Support and/or lead sensitive issue resolution with clients including changes order management, contractual disputes, and contract negotiations.

THE QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS WE ARE LOOKING FOR.
  • Proven work experience as a Project Management Officer or similar role in a project operations department
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with dispute resolution
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to concisely summarize nuanced project issues
  • Excellent organizational and technical abilities
  • Strong interpersonal skill and emotional intelligence
  • Relevant training and/or certifications in project management or a related discipline
  • Understanding of project contract administration (negotiation, risk identification, and dispute resolution)
