The Project Management Office (PMO) is responsible for driving high-complexity, strategic initiatives across the organization. This includes the development of new pharmaceutical products, implementation of innovative technologies, regulatory compliance, and the launch of new products in the Canadian market.
The PMO professional will oversee all phases of project planning, execution, and monitoring, ensuring alignment with the company's strategic goals. This role also supports continuous process improvement across cross-functional teams.
Key job responsibilities and duties:
Lead and coordinate strategic, cross-functional projects focused on innovation, operational efficiency, and regulatory compliance.
Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies in collaboration with R&D, Quality, Production, and Supply Chain teams.
Monitor the impact of process changes and recommend adjustments as needed.
Facilitate collaboration among multidisciplinary teams, ensuring alignment of priorities and seamless integration.
Prepare and present strategic reports to internal and external stakeholders, including senior leadership, offering insights to support decision-making.
Manage project budgets, resource allocation, and operational expenditures.
Education and experience requirements:
Bachelor's degree or Canadian equivalent in Sciences, preferably Pharmacy, Engineering, Administration, Chemistry, or Pharmaceutical Chemistry.
Minimum of 3 years of relevant project management experience in the pharmaceutical or related industries.
Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project) and agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
Certifications such as PMP (Project Management Professional) and/or PMI-ACP (Agile Certified Practitioner) are preferred.
Strong knowledge of regulatory standards including Health Canada, FDA, and EMA.
Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively, with experience mentoring junior team members.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to risk identification and resolution.
