Job Description

Are you a student pursuing Project Management, Business, Computer Science, or IT, seeking an opportunity to gain experience in a dynamic work environment? Do you want to learn more about project management? We are hiring a Project Coordinator Student for a 4-month work term commencing May 2026, based out of our Calgary head office. You will support BURNCO's Project Managers and Organizational Change Management (OCM) team by coordinating schedules, maintaining documentation, tracking project progress, and supporting communications and training for enterprise-wide initiatives such as mergers and acquisitions integrations, ERP upgrades, ServiceNow SPM, and compliance-driven programs. This role is ideal for someone looking to build practical project management and change leadership experience in a collaborative, enterprise environment.


What you will be doing




Maintain project schedules, update timelines, and track task completion Manage RAID logs (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies) Draft and update project charters and plans, and help update performance reports/dashboards Prepare meeting agendas, capture meeting minutes, and follow up on action items Organize and maintain project documentation in SharePoint and Teams Assist in the creation and improvement of PMO templates, trackers, and status reports Draft internal communications, FAQs, and stakeholder updates Support logistics and feedback tracking for training sessions and OCM programs Assist with stakeholder identification, impact assessments, and survey coordination Identify and implement ways to automate or streamline PMO tasks Perform other related project coordination and OCM tasks with a proactive, people-focused approach

What we would like from you




A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Project Management, Business, Computer Science, IT, or a related field Strong written and verbal communication skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Teams Highly organized with strong time management and attention to detail Comfortable working independently and collaboratively in a team Approachable and confident working across departments Familiarity with project management tools such as ServiceNow SPM or Smartsheet is considered an asset

Location and other key details




This is a 4-month temporary position commencing May 2026, based out of our Calgary head office: 5055 11th St NE, Calgary, Alberta The hours of work will be Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week
