At BCG you will become a pivotal member of our team, working alongside some of the world’s top minds on the forefront of climate & sustainability topics. You will collaborate closely with team members from many backgrounds, advising clients across industries on how to equitably achieve their net zero ambitions and reach their sustainability goals. Leveraging your experience, you will develop industry-leading solutions to help our clients succeed by:

  • Actively monitoring the evolving regulatory landscape around traceability and creating clear perspective on implications for companies (e.g., Lieferkettengesetz, USDA traceability regulations)
  • Defining and implementing comprehensive end-to-end traceability solutions through the development of traceability priorities and strategies, technology road mapping and tool and vendor selection, along with deploying these solutions collaboratively with our clients
  • Actively monitoring the tool and supplier ecosystem around end-to-end traceability and transparency; recommending and developing partnerships for BCG with external providers and supporting internal product development teams in developing and refining digital solutions
  • Diagnosing end-to-end traceability and transparency risks and opportunities in our clients’ value chain
  • Developing BCG’s thought leadership for policy makers, public sector agencies, corporate leaders, and cross-industry alliances to define, finance, and implement traceability and transparency solutions that benefit all industry participants
  • Integrating with our broader Climate & Sustainability and sector teams to identify risks and opportunities for key industry sectors (e.g., consumer goods, fashion, healthcare)
  • Working jointly with BCG and client project teams, bringing expertise to the team and to the client on-site

Our Expert Consulting Track (ECT)

Experts deliver next-level impact for BCG's most complex and cutting-edge client challenges. Experts focus on developing BCG's thought leadership, commercial capabilities, and intellectual property assets; and their work is essential to our delivery model. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team to bring the ‘best of BCG’ to our clients, Experts come from diverse backgrounds, with expertise often gained outside of BCG in industry, academia, or specialized consulting.

What You'll Bring (Experience & Qualifications)

  • 5+ years supply chain traceability consulting and/or industry experience
  • Knowledge of key topics related to end-to-end supply chain traceability, including one or more of: defining solutions via technology roadmap creation, diagnosing risks and opportunities in clients’ value chain, vendor selection, etc.
  • Ability to develop leading edge business models, frameworks for analysis, and long-term business strategies that maximize shareholder value
