Job Description

About us

At DARO, we build systems that really work for organizations that do real-world good. Based in Montreal, Canada, we work with the social sector to improve information flows across organizations and ecosystems. Our work often deals with complex, persistent, and interconnected problems that require digging deep to find solutions that serve the public good.

We are a data strategy and learning consultancy that helps social sector organizations solve complex challenges by strengthening how they learn, take action and adapt. We work across systems, designing and implementing strategies, governance, processes and tools to create practical, responsive solutions that last.

About the position

Reporting to a Director, the Project Lead will be responsible for the successful delivery of DARO's projects. The Project Lead is expected to engage in an ongoing, iterative process of understanding our clients' contexts and needs. The Project Lead will use that deep understanding to identify possible paths to success, and then implement their informed opinion of how to effectively move forward.

In short: DARO's promise to our clients is that we are thought partners, not minions. Project Leads are responsible for delivering on that promise.

In addition, the Project Lead will be responsible to supervise Project Coordinators who are working on and completing project deliverables. This can include: conducting key informant interviews, distilling user or technical requirements from interviews, resolving technical data/workflow issues, developing elements of information architecture, and implementation support for solutions.

Our work doesn't follow a template and we don't expect our staff to either. If you think you'd be right for this role, please apply!
