We are seeking a motivated and skilled Project Lead / Contract Manager to oversee operations and manage multiple facility service projects within our organization. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, advanced communication skills, and a solid understanding of project management and operations coordination. This role combines project oversight, staff leadership, and client service delivery, ensuring that all objectives are met safely, efficiently, and on time.
Key Duties
Lead project planning sessions and define operational scope, goals, and deliverables.
Coordinate cross-functional teams, including supervisors, safety leads, and administrative staff, to ensure project milestones are achieved.
Develop and manage detailed project plans, including schedules, budgets, and staffing requirements.
Oversee daily operations of cleaning and facility maintenance services across multiple sites.
Monitor project progress, evaluate performance metrics, and provide clear updates to management.
Use Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Project to track timelines, budgets, and KPI performance.
Facilitate meetings and presentations using Microsoft PowerPoint and SharePoint for reporting.
Manage procurement of equipment, supplies, and vendor relationships; maintain accurate records and databases.
Ensure compliance with company policies, health and safety standards, and quality control procedures.
Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries, managing feedback, and resolving issues promptly.
Experience & Skills
Proven experience in
project management or contract administration
, ideally within facilities, operations, or janitorial industries.
Strong leadership background managing staff and coordinating multiple projects simultaneously.
Proficiency in
Microsoft Office Suite
(Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint, Access).
Knowledge of WHMIS 2015, workplace safety standards, or COR/SECOR programs an asset.
Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
Effective communicator with strong writing, reporting, and negotiation abilities.
Bilingual (English/French) considered an asset.
Qualifications
Post-secondary education or certification in business administration, project management, or a related field preferred.
Minimum 5 years of experience in operations, project coordination, or facilities management.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
First Aid / CPR and WHMIS certification (or willingness to obtain).
