What you will do:





Reporting to the Director, Reconciliation, Equity, Accessibility, Diversity, and Inclusion (READI) in the READI division, your primary responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:


Develops project charters in collaboration with Advocates on the team and tracks project progress to reflect adjustments as needed; follows up on actions identified as needed. Manages execution of project activities through coordination of internal resources and third parties/vendors. Ensures projects align with departmental and corporate strategies, policies, and budget priorities. Communicates project status, risks, and issues to cross-functional teams. Supports the collection, analysis, and development of summaries of qualitative and quantitative project data to inform decisions and evaluate outcomes. Supports project evaluations to identify areas for improvement. Contributes to multi-year planning and reporting cycles. Schedules and coordinates planning of meetings, working groups, events, community engagement and other activities for a variety of participants including internal staff, and external community members. Prepares and circulates meeting agendas, minutes, and presentation materials for meetings and workshops. Triages staff and community requests and issues sent to the READI team to determine appropriate action. Drafts written reports, council reports, presentation materials, special project work, promotional materials for team initiatives, and related sessions and events. Reviews and edits team materials to ensure that all information is current, accessible, and properly formatted. Coordinates Reconciliation, accessibility, and equity training for staff in collaboration with Advocates, including researching training providers, promoting training, communicating with program participants and external training consultants, tracking attendance, managing training materials, transporting program materials and equipment to various facilities, monitoring inventory of program materials, data collection and entry, and tracking statistics. Facilitates the recruitment and orientation of new team members to the City (e.g. arranging training, technology, ID badges, etc.). Participates in the development, planning, implementation, and evaluation of Reconciliation, Equity, Accessibility, Diversity and Inclusion projects. Ensures accessible and inclusive engagement practices are embedded throughout all project stages. Prepares and tracks project budgets, invoices, and financial summaries, ensuring expenditures align with approved allocations. Prepares progress dashboards and performance indicators for leadership and Council reporting in collaboration with Advocates. Supports post-project debriefs to capture lessons learned. Develops and maintains project documentation, templates, and tools to standardize project management practices.

What you will bring:



A minimum two-year College diploma in social studies, business or a related field (PMP certification is an asset). At least one (1) year experience in Project Management, Research and administration. Demonstrated knowledge of and commitment to various related legislation including the Ontario Human Rights Code, Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, etc. Critical analysis expertise and lived experience with regard to the intersections of systemic oppressions and the elimination of identity-based barriers and inequities is considered an asset. Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively. Strong understanding of project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall). Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong organizational and time management skills and the ability to handle changing priorities and fluctuating volumes of work. Experience coordinating remote or cross-functional teams. Ability to foster strong, collaborative relationships and create feedback loops to inform direction of work and initiatives. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work effectively in a team environment. Experience working in an environment that requires a high political acuity. Ability to exercise tact and discretion in dealing with confidential issues. Advanced computer skills including MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook). Ability and willingness to travel between worksites, as necessary, utilizing reliable, safe and efficient methods of transportation is required to perform the job.
