Job Description

We are seeking a Project Estimator & Coordinator to support specialized construction and environmental projects. This hybrid role combines estimating, CAD-based design, environmental planning, and project coordination. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive project bids, developing and maintaining system layouts, assisting with permitting and compliance, and coordinating projects from tender through completion.

Key Responsibilities

Estimating & Proposals



Review project drawings, specifications, reports, and tender documents. Prepare detailed cost estimates, quotations, and proposals for construction and pumping projects. Evaluate design solutions and recommend cost-effective systems. Maintain estimating records and follow up on awarded/unawarded bids.

CAD Design & Environmental Support



Create and maintain AutoCAD drawings for system layouts and project cross-sections. Support environmental permitting (e.g., EASR, PTTW, discharge permits, and well records). Assist in installation and monitoring of environmental equipment, compiling data and reports.

Project Coordination



Support Project Managers with planning, scheduling, and execution of projects. Prepare and submit invoices, change orders, and related documentation. Coordinate with third-party services (e.g., vac trucks, water deliveries, sand suppliers). Prepare start-up documentation, work orders, and locate packages. Liaise with clients, consultants, and government agencies; attend site visits and meetings as needed. Maintain organized project documentation and ensure effective communication between teams.
Qualifications & Skills

Post-secondary diploma/degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering, Construction, or Earth Sciences. Minimum 5 years of estimating experience and 3 years in project coordination (construction/environmental projects preferred). Proficiency in AutoCAD, GIS, and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook). Knowledge of dewatering, bypass pumping, and groundwater treatment systems is an asset. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities. Familiarity with permits, well records, and monitoring equipment. Valid Ontario G driver's license with ability to travel locally to sites. CET designation or other technical certifications are an asset. Experience with hydrogeological software (e.g., WinFlow, MODFLOW) is an asset. Knowledge of water/soil chemical analysis testing is an asset. Prior field experience in construction, dewatering, or sewer/watermain work is an advantage.
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
